What's new
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Changes you can see, newest first. Beta means things move; this is where they are written down.
This page, and accessibility checks on every screen
You are reading the new changelog. We also now test each screen with an accessibility checker, in light and dark, so keyboard and screen reader use stays solid as the app changes.
Stricter protection so the free tier stays free
There are now limits on how fast anyone can call the AI, a daily ceiling on total use, and stronger browser security settings. Text you paste into your idea is treated as your idea, never as instructions.
The app works as a phone app
On a phone, Product Pilot now has a top bar, a bottom action bar and sheets that slide up. You can install it to your home screen from the browser.
A tidier Develop screen
The screen where you read and edit your plan is calmer. Token counts are gone, a banner tells you if the plan hits its size limit, and it says which model built it. Start over is quieter too.
A new look
New typeface, calmer violet colours and flat, rounded buttons and cards. The direction cards show their choice more clearly, and every text box now has a sensible length limit.
Gemini first, with a backup
Plans can now start on Google's Gemini. If it is busy or slow, the app switches to a backup model, so you see fewer waits and failed runs. The plan tells you what built it.
Two outputs for two readers
The markdown file is now a tight brief written for a coding assistant, with testable steps and a build order. The PDF is a separate, designed plan written for you.
Explanations one tap away
Each screen now shows what to do. The why and the how sit behind a small info button, so the page stays clear.
Pick the AI model once, in the idea form
Choose a model before your first question. After that it stays fixed for the plan, and Start over lets you pick again.
Go back without losing your work
Click any earlier step in the header to go back. Your answers and your chosen direction stay put, and sending the same idea again skips the wait.
Anonymous visit counts, no cookies
We now count visits in aggregate to see what people use. It sets no cookies and cannot single you out. The privacy policy has the detail.
A new logo and a quick feedback form
Product Pilot has a new mark. A small Send feedback button is now on every screen, so you can tell us what is confusing or broken.
Add missing sections later, and download a designed PDF
If the app left a section out, you can now ask for it. Your plan also comes as a PDF laid out to read, alongside the markdown file for coding tools.
A rebuilt app
The whole flow was redesigned in light and dark. The plan reads as one document, with a step-by-step view or a full view, and sections that are out of date are flagged.
